The Company

KEFA International Handels-GmbH was founded in 1982. The head-office is located in Ascheberg, Schleswig Holstein, Germany with a sales office in Berlin.

 KEFA serves the market in co-operation with authorized companies. All our partners are highly qualified professionals with considerable experience in construction and maintenance, especially with moisture related problems.

The KEFA products are sold and used in more than 40 countries around the world.

 

Philosophy. We work with the nature - not against it.

The traditional way of dealing with moisture or dampness problems is to seal off the surface and fight nature by attempting to keep the moisture out, normally unsuccessfully, to a lesser or greater degree.

The KEFA coatings are micro-porous, and capable of storing water inside the micro porous matrix during the damp periods, but evaporating it back into the atmosphere as soon as the surface temperature is above dew point. The evaporation is done far more rapidly and efficiently than would be the case from a surface coated with a conventional paint. In this way the surfaces are kept dry and healthy.

 

The products and methods

The products are micro-porous coatings that have been developed and are covered by four different patents. By changing the porous structure of the surface layer, the KEFA products are very effective as condensation and corrosion protection, mould protection, noise damping and insulation.

The development has been done in KEFA´s own laboratory in co-operation with Universities and Institutions in Sweden, USA and UK.

The manufacturer, KEFA DRYTECH AB, Sweden, has been ISO9001:2000 Quality Management Certified since 1996, a guarantee that the products are always of a high standard.

The products are water based and emission free and for that reason can be safely used in strictly regulated areas such as the food producing industry.

All products are thoroughly tested both in laboratory and over many years in the field.
